Ballroom Dance Instructors

Kathy

Hi, I'm Kathy. I'm the owner and operator of All About Ballroom. I'm committed to providing all my students with extraordinary service and fantastic entertainment, all at really great prices. It's all about having fun...so let's have some! I've been dancing since I was five (some would even say earlier). I am a certified ballroom instructor in all American smooth, rhythm, and social dances. I've also trained in Latin club dance styles, such as LA style Salsa, Bachata, and Merengue. My dance training is not exclusive to ballroom and Latin dancing but also extends to ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, lyrical and modern dancing as well. I have experience teaching people to dance from ages three to ninety-three and everything in between. I like to say, "anyone can learn to dance". So swing on down to the studio and let's dance!

I'm a fun, energetic, and patient dance instructor who is looking forward to teaching everyone to dance.

Ryan

Hi, Iím Ryan! I began my dance career as one of those little blonde girls in pink tights and tutus at 3 years old. Growing up, I added tap, jazz, modern, lyrical, contemporary, and pointe to my repertoire. I took classes in all of these styles throughout high school and even competed for 3 years. I expanded my dance career even further when I began attending the University of Georgia, where I began classes in swing, (lindy hop, side-by-side Charleston, line Charleston, tandem Charleston, balboa, east coast, and west coast) and ballroom (foxtrot, American tango, Argentine tango, waltz, salsa, cha-cha, rumba, and hustle). My 3rd year, I became president of the UGA Swing Dance Club and began teaching lessons in all of the above swing styles. I have been president and teaching these classes for the past 2 years. I graduated from UGA in 2011 with a BA in Spanish and a BS in psychology. I'm currently attending UGA Law School. I'm a member of Swung (UGAís swing dance performance troupe) and Contact (a ballroom performance group at DanceFx Dance Studio in Athens). I have choreographed for both companies. I really enjoy teaching and love passing on my passion for dance to anyone who is willing to learn!

Kat

Hi, I'm Kat! I'm a movement instructor, choreographer, and performer passionate about teaching. I graduated from Emory University with a B.A. in Dance and I've had the honor of teaching students of all shapes, backgrounds, and levels in ballroom (American smooth and rhythm), ballet, tap, jazz, modern, hip hop, and musical theater. In addition to conservatory training my entire life, I've trained with the American College Dance Festivals, Tennessee Association of Dance Conferences, New Dance Group (NYC), and a myriad of master teachers and world ballroom champions. I've performed with Open Dance Collision, World Champion Productions, Emory Dance Company, and the Grand Old Opry House. I'm a member of Georgia Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance and Friends of Dance at Emory University. I'm committed to my students learning dance and aim for a class full of fun and stress relief. Come spend some time with us away from your desk, off your couch, and on the dance floor!

Mink

Hi, Iím Mink! I was initially put in a ballet class at age 6 to help with my posture, but I couldnít stop dancing! I went onto pointe and performed in several local productions and at various events. I also did jazz and tap before I discovered ballroom dancing and fell completely in love with it. I jumped right into ballroom dancing competitions and I've been coached by former British and International Latin Grand Finalists. I participated in several International Standard and International Latin competitions throughout England, taking first place in a few International Latin competitions. After having to put up my dancing shoes for too many years, I've found a new joy in teaching. Social dancing is fun and practical in the sense that you can use it anywhere, even in your own living room! Itís absolutely wonderful to have the opportunity to share what I know, and to see new dancers develop their confidence while having a great time with big smiles on their faces.
